Pot luck dinner at 6:00. Program/Discussion from 6:45 to 7:45. Park off Morehead (near AfterGateway) and use entrance directly into the Fellowship Hall. Remember to bring a non-perishable food item for the food pantry.

Movement as a way to Agelessness. Betsy Oldenburg is a practitioner of the "Trager Approach," a pleasurable, gentle and effective approach to movement education and mind/body integration. She will discuss the methods and philosophies of Dr. Milton Trager, emphazising his philosophy of finding peace through movement.

George Soros, one of the world's most successful investors, was a guest of Bill Moyers on an October 10 PBS broadcast. They discussed the global capital meltdown, how Soros saw it coming, and what can be done now. We'll view the interview, then Jim McKenzie will facilitate subsequent discussion.

Next Work Day at PCoC (11/1) The next Work Day is set for Saturday, November 1. We’ll gather from about 9 AM to about Noon to do the things that need to be done —- dusting, moving, cleaning, straightening, etc. Nothing too heavy or too hard, and everything done in the company of folks its good to be with. Put the date on your calendar, and look forward to time well spent! Steep Canyon Rangers Concert (12/7) Steep Canyon Rangers concert on Sunday, December 7, probably 7 PM, probably $10 - $15 per person. A Christmas Carol Benefit (12/5) A Christmas Carol Benefit by Al LePage, 7:00 PM, Friday, December 5, $10 per person. Al LePage presents a dramatic reading performance of Charles Dickens "A Christmas Carol" in the style of the victorian era. 100% of admission price goes to local area charities. Jazz Christmas Eve Concert (12/24) UpperLineUp presents a Jazz Christmas Eve Concert on December 24 at 5:00 PM, no charge for admission. Holiday Cousins, a play by the PCOC Youth (12/7) Holiday Cousins, a play by the PCOC Youth, December 7, 11:00 AM. Get to know the youth and their many talents. Support parents and kids as they participate in the faith community. Animal Blessing (12/28) Animal Blessing on December 28, 9:20. Bring your pets, coiffed and perfumed, to meet friends and enjoy the touch of the preachers. Feast of Caring (11/20) Feast of Caring - Nov. 20, (Thursday before Thanksgiving) 5:00 - 7:00 PM. First Baptist Church, 1000 W. Friendly Ave. All participants are treated to freshly prepared soup and homemade bread. When you make a minimum $20 pledge or donation to Greensboro Urban Ministry, you will receive a handmade pottery bowl or four of this year’s new Honor Cards, based on original artwork by local artist William Mangum. Walkin' Jim Stoltz Concert (11/21) Walkin' Jim Stoltz Concert - Singer, songwriter, and noted environmental activist Jim Stoltz will be performing at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, 607 North Greene St. in Greensboro at 7:30 on November 21.
